The derivation of the word blog comes from web logging, as it used to be known. It has changed a lot in its development and now blogging is a front line tool in the Internet promotion tool box. It is now used to promote products and services and presents another platform to to communicate with the visitor and develop a lasting relationship with them.

Having created the the business blog you can then monetize it as well as personalize it to your own requirements. Once created, you can make money out of the blog by syndicating it through RSS to your business website. If you have decided that you will set up a blog for business, below are a few tips on how to make it one of the more interesting and popular blogs.

You know that having a blog adds value to your company’s website, but maybe you aren’t a prolific writer or just don’t have the time to commit to it. There is a way to realize the benefits of a blog without the large time commitment.

Sumitting to search engines is largely a waste of time and money.

I spent a lot of money doing this in my early days before I was told that I was being robbed…

Many submit sites claim they are going to submit your website to 150,000 or more. That’s bogus. There are only a handful of SEs that are worth worrying about. The rest are spammers…

Search engines use spiders or crawlers to crawl the net to find sites on their own. They do this by following links from other sites.

In September of 2004, the CBS News program “60 Minutes II” ran a special on President George Bush’s service in the Texas National Guard during the Vietnam War. One of the pieces of data they displayed was a memo allegedly written by the late Lieutenant Colonel Jerry B. Killian. As soon as the memo flashed across the screen, the New Media began an investigation that would lead to in the firing of three CBS News executives and the retirement of longtime anchor Dan Rather.
